hey everyone!
I hope your summer treated you well! I planned this trip to Lisbon, Madrid and Marrakech with a girlfriend of mine because we all need getaways with close friends to relax, explore, sight see, pour up, unwind and, most importantly, stay connected. Most of my closest friends live across the country so we donβt have the luxury of hitting a happy hour on a Tuesday or yoga together on Saturday. So for this trip, we chose an adventurous, fun multi-country mini tour.
We wanted to explore coffee shops in Lisbon, speak Spanish in Madrid and get lost in the Souks in Marrakech. This was also my first time in Africa β I was in awe from the time the plane touched down.
Packing for trips like this can be tricky. Three countries, four flights, eight days. Personally, I like to be agile when moving from country to country (read: I pack light).
Why, when you get a free checked bag on international flights? Thatβs true! So itβs not necessary. However, I have friends who have had their luggage lost or delayed on their way to a foreign country, and for this trip, I preferred to pack lean and not risk it!
But in my carryon, I fit a pair of heels, tennis shoes, shorts, tops, plenty of toiletries, travel Clorox wipes, wash cloths, 3 dresses, bathing suits, and a sweatshirt (read: I had options).
Iβm going to share more about each destination of this trip, but let me know what questions you have! Iβm also partnering up with #kayak to create a couple guides for each destination. Stay tuned if these cities are on your list!
I hope youβre planning more travel for 2020 and using resources to make your planning and traveling easy breezy! Let me know where youβre traveling next!
